New project: Communicative spaces in care homes

Recent UOC graduate and CNSC member, Sarah Wagner, started a postdoctoral research position at Nagoya University, Japan in March 2020. Sarah will work for one year with Dr. Akiko Ogawa in the Social Informatics Department on the project titled, “The role of communicative spaces in enabling social inclusion in care homes.” The project will advance comparative ethnography on (digital) socialities in three long-term care facilities in Victoria (Canada) and Nagoya and Fukui (Japan). The research is funded by a Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Postdoctoral Fellowship.
