Today Friday, April 6, Mireia Fernández-Ardèvol features in a radio broadcast talk about the ageing of the population and its implications on the economy in particular and society at large. The radio program called “Econòmix” of Radio Nacional de España 4 (RNE4)–a national public radio station of regional coverage–analyzes different aspects of the contingencies of the economy. This time, Mireia exchanged perspectives and opinions with María Jesús Comellas, Emeritus Professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and expert in multigenerational relationships. They discussed about the structure and characteristics of different older populations (i.e., 65-79 years old and 80 years old or more), the impact of the ageing of the population at a macro and micro level, the role of technologies in products and services for the older, among some topics. You can hear the podcast (in Catalan) in the links section below.
