The 1st Conference of the ECREA TWG on Aging and Communication Studies will take place on April 5, 2025, in Lleida, Catalonia, Spain. This event invites researchers to explore how stereotypes about aging shape perceptions, reinforce ageism, and marginalize older adults in various communication contexts, including media, health, policy, and digital platforms. Submissions are encouraged to critically examine aging stereotypes through empirical research, theoretical inquiry, or practical applications, with a focus on their impact across domains such as media representation, health communication, political discourse, and digital culture.
