From the 18th of August until the 23rd of September Rosa Borge Bravo – leader of the CNSC- will be visiting scholar at the University of Stavanger. She is being hosted by the Digital Society Research Group at the Department of Media and Social Sciences. Her research stay is sponsored by the Research Network for Smart Sustainable Cities.
On 12 September, she has given a Guest Lecture titled “Expanding participation and deliberation through digital platforms: drivers, obstacles and measurements”, in which she presented some of her work on the drivers and obstacles to the implementation of participatory platforms -specifically the Decidim platform- and the development of deliberative spaces. She has also discussed how to measure and assess the deliberative capacity and quality of these platforms.
She is also collaborating and defining some future projects on participation and deliberation through digital platforms with the University of Stavanger, the Stavanger City Council and the Norwegian Smart Cities network (Smartbyene).
