Title: “Data ageism: A critical exploration of high-quality data”. Co-authors Line Grenier & Mireia Fernández-Ardévol.
As part of the annual meeting of the Aging in Data project, Mireia Fernández-Ardèvol and Line Grenier were invited to discuss the article Data ageism: A critical exploration of high-quality data [open access]. During the talk, the authors reflected on how the paper was crafted through our numerous conversations, some that have been going on for over a decade and others that were key to this particular collaborative writing project (which went on for nearly two years). The talk was articulated around four performative moments instrumental in shaping the objective, orientation and structure of the paper: location, method, power, and data-ageism.
