Daniel is a doctoral candidate on Information and Knowledge Society at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC). He has participated as a research assistant in our group since 2011 in several projects on the topics of ageing, communication, digital media technologies, socio-political participation, and social connectivity.
In his dissertation, he analyzes retrospectively the life trajectories of sociopolitic activism of older people in Montreal (Quebec, Canada) and Barcelona (Catalonia, Spain), with a particular interest on the evolution of the role of information and communication technologies in these trajectories.
Daniel holds a BA in Communication from the Universidad del Pacífico (Chile), a MA in Research in Sociology at the Universitat de Barcelona, and a MA in Research in Sociology and Demography at Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
