The rapid outbreak and spread of the COVID-19 at a global scale have been so immediately disruptive to human activity that we need to learn and understand how this pandemic is affecting the lives of individuals, groups, and societies. To this end, the Communication Networks & Social Change Research Group (CNSC) is participating in an international study that seeks to analyze how the COVID-19 is influencing the way people interact digitally with each other, offer and receive support, and experience wellness and loneliness. In other words, how people are connected with each other through digital technologies and how this is affecting their mental health and well-being.
To better understand these issues, we are launching an online survey to gather the experiences of as many people as possible. The survey takes between 20 and 30 minutes to complete, and all answers are registered anonymously and treated with confidentiality. To participate, it only takes to accept the terms explained at the beginning of the questionnaire. In the links section below, you will find the links to the survey and the information sheet in both Catalan and Spanish.
This international project is led by Dr. Hannah R. Marston (Open University, United Kingdom) and Dr. Sarah Earle (Open University, United Kingdom). CNSC co-director Dr. Mireia Fernández-Ardèvol is the investigator coordinating the study in Catalan and Spanish. In case of any doubts, you may contact her at the email address: cnsc (at) uoc.edu.
